Title : Information for person in need of protection (Personal Violence)
Description : Apprehended Violence Orders (AVOs) are orders that a court makes to protect people. AVOs protect people by ordering a person (called the defendant) not to do specific things. AVOs can be made to last for as long as you need to be protected. An application (complaint) for an AVO is made because there are fears that the defendant may physically hurt, or harass, intimidate, or molest or stalk the person named in the application.
