LawAccess NSW is a free government telephone service that provides legal information, advice and referrals for people who have a legal problem in NSW. Call LawAccess NSW on 1300 888 529 between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

If you would like to speak to us in a language other than English call the Translating and Interpreter Service (TIS) on 131 450, ask to speak to LawAccess NSW and a free and confidential interpreter will be provided.

"Am I eligible for Legal Aid?"
Eligibility for Legal Aid depends on the matter and your financial circumstances. If you are wanting to apply for Legal Aid call 1300 888 529 to speak to one of our Customer Service Officers who can help you work out if Legal Aid is available and assist you to fill out the Legal Aid application form over the phone.

Using the Legal Aid Means Test Indicator you can assess whether you may be financially eligible for Legal Aid, in those matters where Legal Aid has a means test.
