Once your Defence has been filed, the court will send both you and the plaintiff a letter with the date for your Pre Trial Review. This is the first time that you and the plaintiff will go into a courtroom. The date will usually be within six weeks of the date you filed your Defence.

If you and the plaintiff can come to an agreement your case might be settled at the Pre Trial Review. If you can't agree the case may be adjourned for another Pre Trial Review or a date for the hearing may be set (listed).
